Welcome aboard, Natasa!

A quick break from breaking European tech news to let you know the team is psyched to welcome a new member to the tech.eu family.

When Natasa Lakovic Djukanovic (I know, it's a mouthful, and more complicated than I think any name should ever be) moved to Belgium from Montenegro last year, I had lunch with her in Brussels when things like having lunch with someone in Brussels was still a thing.

We had met many years ago - I forgot in which year or country - but I remember her inviting me to the Spark.me conference in Montenegro a couple of times.

Natasa was co-organising the event as part of her role as CMO of Domain.ME, the international tech company that operates the domain name extension “.ME.” I never made it to the conference - and in fact I've never been to Montenegro, to my shame - but I'm happy we kept in touch.

She's an economist by education but has specialised in marketing, communications, business strategy and brand building over the years. You can read more about her over on (where else) Natasa.me.

We can't wait to exploit her knowledge and skills to grow tech.eu even bigger.

Bottom line: Natasa is joining the tech.eu team to take the lead on strategy and business development, which is absolutely amazing for us - and it could be for you as well.

Let us know if you have excellent and/or crazy ideas on how to work with us. We're all ears.

Fun facts:

  • Her oldest son Jovan interned for tech.eu back in early 2015.
  • I found out Natasa moved to Belgium by spotting an Instagram post of her hiking in a forest just outside of Brussels - and the rest is history (in the making).
  • Natasa is into mountaineering. To repeat, she moved to Belgium.
