Munich-based Luminovo raises over €2.5 million for 'electronics operating system'

Munich-based SaaS startup Luminovo, creators of an ‘electronics operating system’, has announced over €2.5 million in funding as the company prepares for a public launch of its request-for-quote (RfQ) product. Luminovo’s platform is a SaaS layer that aims to reduce the time and resources needed to go from an idea to a market-ready electronic product. Most recently the company has built LumiQuote, which allows electronics manufacturing services (EMS) to request and manage quotes. In a press release, the startup says it is “is determined to build a strong European deep-tech company made in Germany.” The latest investment comes from eight business angels, including Daniel Dines (founder and CEO of UiPath), Charles Songhurst (former head of strategy at Microsoft), Carsten Thoma (co-founder of Hybris, sold to SAP), Jan Stumpf (founder of Ascending Technologies, sold to Intel).

In spring 2020, Luminovo secured over €2 million in pre-seed funding from German investors: Cherry Ventures, La Famiglia and Hanno Renner, the CEO and founder of HRtech unicorn, Personio.
