Expense management and accounts payable automation firm Emburse has snapped up Amsterdam-based Roadmap.
Financials and terms were not disclosed.
“Business travel will return - but it will look completely different to pre-pandemic travel,” said Eric Friedrichsen, CEO of Emburse. “Bringing Roadmap into our suite of solutions allows our customers to offer their employees a modern, consumer-like travel experience that empowers employees and is reflective of their policies and values.”
Already in use by some of world's largest organisations, Roadmap cuts down on corporate duty-of-care concerns, often associated with travel. The customizable traveler solution enables corporate travel teams to incorporate all travel related expenditure tracking into one single point of contact.
With the addition of Roadmap to Emburse’s existing platform, customers will soon see employer branded flight updates, destination tips and safety reminders. Likewise, additional features including travel bookings, duty-of-care insights, destination visitor information and trip carbon footprint data, all available.
Providing analytics, employers will now also have the option to spotlight behavioural trends and modify their travel policies accordingly.
“Roadmap has a strong track record of providing a comprehensive, attractive, mobile platform for travel booking and trip management. This is reflected in its impressive list of multinational customers. Combining Roadmap’s capabilities with our suite of solutions’ deep experience in managing travel spend will provide a compelling proposition for organizations of all sizes,” continued Friedrichsen.
