German mobility service provider DKV has acquired Amsterdam’s electric vehicle charging infrastructure platform GreenFlux. GreenFlux has raised €11 million over four funding rounds from investors including ICT Group, BOM, Eneco Group, and SET Ventures. The terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Founded in 2011 by Hans de Boer and Jurjen de Jong, GreenFlux provides an end-to-end solution for managing electric vehicle charging infrastructure. Working with energy companies, network operators, automotive industry parties, fleet owners, and payment providers the company offers remote management of charging stations, the processing of transactions, and management of the charging process. To date, the company is active in 28 countries across 5 continents and has powered over 1 billion kilometres of electric travel.
The acquisition of GreenFlux falls in line with DKV’s further expansion into the e-mobility market.
“I am very proud that we have expanded our EV capabilities to this extent and thus provide more services to our customers’ e-fleets throughout Europe”, comments DKV CEO Marco van Kalleveen. “This dynamic growth shows that electromobility is developing at a rapid pace throughout Europe. In this context, we want to drive the transition towards a more sustainable future of mobility”.
