AI-powered digital design assistant Uizard has secured $15 million in a Series-A investment round. The previously “impossible” platform helps non-designers, well, quite frankly, design. Perhaps an easy way to think of it is the Canva for non-coders. This new round of capital is expected to grow marketing and commercial teams.
Regardless of coding or design experience, the Uizard allows every individual in every business unit to quickly and easily design, refine, and test digital products including mobile apps, websites, and desktop software. And better yet, ideas don't even need to begin in the digital realm, a hand-drawn sketch can be interpreted by the software and used as a basis for a project.
“Regardless of industry, virtually every company today is a software company,” comments CEO and co-founder Tony Beltramelli. “Every company needs to design user-friendly software either to serve its customers or to serve its staff and operations.”
Since pulling back the curtains earlier this year, the company has seen over 170,000 accounts created, with 13,000 active monthly users continually winding the clocks. And, according to Uizard, these aren’t just any clients, but rather, some prime cuts of beed including Adidas, Google, Tesla, Slack, Airbus, Deloitte, Apple, Hitachi, ByteDance, Capital One, Airbnb and UiPath.
Uizard’s Series-A round was led by Insight Partners, and saw participation from Mariano Suarez-Battan, CEO and Co-Founder of Mural. Existing investors byFounders, LDV Capital, and av8 Ventures all followed on.
