Paris-based startup simplifying access to blockchain Starton has raised €3.8 million to develop its product, strengthen its teams, and train the developers of tomorrow.
The round saw the participation of Speedinvest, Daphni, Kima Ventures, Ledger, and high-profile business angels, including the founders of Polkadot, Voodoo, eFounders, Zama.ai, Aircall and Feed, as well as other web3 players.
With this funding, the company will continue to invest in the development of web3 by recruiting new talent, speeding up product development and supporting the blockchain ecosystem by making it more widely accessible for developers.
It will also continue to launch in new markets across Europe and the U.S., with its sights set on becoming the world’s leading development platform.
Founded in 2020 by Cédric Cervantes and Fabien Poggi, the platform allows developers and companies to focus on their product, rather than the complexity of blockchain technology.
Its development tools are designed to simplify the technology, in order to promote its adoption, and to make blockchain integration possible with just a few lines of code. The results are time and money savings, as well as improved distribution of human resources.
“Blockchain integration requires education and assistance, so we’re eager to use these funds to move faster with the creation of our academy and specialised web3 training,” said Fabien Poggi, Starton’s CEO.
“Starton is on a mission to power the next generation of web3 developers. The platform abstracts away the complexities of web3 backend infrastructure with best-in-class tooling, allowing developers to focus on providing the best products and user experience,” said Charlie Boles from Speedinvest.
