UK-based visual intelligence Spinview has raised £5.5 million in a pre-Series A funding round to help businesses capture, connect and communicate large volumes of disparate data and transform it into accurate, accessible, and actionable information. The new cash will help the firm to further develop the intellectual property for its platform and the corresponding hardware for data capture as part of the process of creating 3D models.
The investment was backed by Alchemmy, a management consultancy specialising in delivering combining data and design to deliver sustainable change in industries such as transportation and Future Fund and a plethora of high net worth and angel investors. The latest round takes the company’s total investment to £8 million.
Founded in 2015 by Linda Wade and Zoran Grahovac, the platform aims to protect the future of organisations by combining visual simulations of their spaces with data-driven insight. Its visual intelligence and supporting ecosystem (VQe) is the key to unlocking the value of data due to its ability to capture, connect and communicate large volumes of disparate data and transform it through visualisation techniques into accurate, accessible and actionable information.
At the heart of this process is digital twin technology which enables businesses to create rich digital models of anything physical or logical, from simple assets or products to complex environments, from roads and rail to warehouses, factories and homes.
Founder and CEO of Spinview, Linda Wade, said: “When thinking of data, people most often think of engineers, developers and IT teams using and manipulating that data with little to no input from the wider business, but people need to think beyond this limiting view. Using this important data to create a visual intelligence ecosystem that can be understood and accessed by every working individual is the key to untold improvements and will be beneficial and game-changing for any organisation."
