VenturePath, a new founders members community with 100+ founders signed up, officially got underway today in the hope of making more all-important connections to the venture capital community.
A membership also buys access to "top talent" who are thought highly of by the UK ecosystem, including board executives, senior level hires and non-executive directors, for networking, knowledge and on-demand skills training.
The roster includes founders of UK tech successes like online news video community Newsflare, last-mile delivery solutions platform Gophr, digital mapping tool Edozo and market intelligence provider Forestreet.
Following a formal launch event in London, VenturePath says it has 15 of the UK's "top tier" VCs involved right from the get go, including Octopus Ventures, 24 Haymarket, Finch Capital, Foresight Group, FSE Group, Amadeus Capital Partners, Smedvig Capital, and Guinness Ventures.
The programme, founded by Ian Merricks and backed by White Horse Capital, will act as a peer network connecting startups to exited entrepreneurs who can offer a helping hand as they face up to the challenges ahead.
VenturePath is exclusively open to founders of UK tech companies with above £1 million revenue generation, that are looking to scale and possibly lure series A or B funds (for at least £2 million, and ranging up to £20 million.). A second intake of founder members is due to launch in 2023.
