After 20 years building ServiceNow solutions to transform businesses through the use of digital technology, Spain's SilverStorm is preparing for a fresh start.
News has emerged it will be acquired by Thirdera, a major partner to ServiceNow in the US, calling an end to its story as an independent startup.
SilverStorm's enterprise integrations were considered sufficiently enticing to feature as an "Elite-level" addition to the ServiceNow ecosystem. With more than 400 certifications and a complete set of ServiceNow "workflow badges", the startup has mainly addressed European and Latin American clients though it has a US branch office also. The UN is apparently one of its clients, together with Spanish corporates Banco Santander and Repsol and Italy's Generali Group.
ServiceNow ranks as one of the leading enterprise software providers, but it's considered particularly useful for digitising customer service and order management.
Thirdera is expanding in Europe and will be anticipating an extra edge thanks to SilverStorm's software talent and the strength of its brand. In recent months it opened a European branch in the Netherlands and started hiring several ServiceNow experts organically. The acquisition means it has presence in both northern and southern EU jurisdictions.
Jason Wojahn, Thirdera CEO, said European enterprises needed tech providers to help them rationalise the benefits of new and emerging technologies, through platforms including ServiceNow.
Wojahn added: "With the increase in ServiceNow capabilities, features and functions, there is a significant opportunity for channel leaders like Thirdera and SilverStorm to drive scale and relevance in workflows, and more synergistic value across cloud platforms for ServiceNow clients.”
For SilverStorm it concludes a success story which began from its HQ in the city of Valladolid in 2002.
Principally focused on keeping companies competitive by making digital run effectively, the team also had secured official partnership nominations from enterprise software players like Zoomin, Celonis, 4ME and Nexthink.
SilverStorm's company founder and CEO Rian Butcher will be appointed EMEA senior managing director by Thirdera following the acquisition.
Commenting on the deal, Butcher said: "For 20 years SilverStorm has supported our clients with their digital transformation journeys. It’s now time for us to continue with our own transformation and become part of the Thirdera team.
"By joining forces, we can provide even better service to our existing customers and reach new customers with our combined portfolio of services.”
