French email software provider Alinto raises €2.3 million

French email software provider Alinto has received €2.3 million from Cic Lyonnaise De Banque and has merged with Swiss anti-spam filtering company Cleanmail.

French email software provider Alinto has raised €2.3 million from Cic Lyonnaise De Banque and has merged with Swiss anti-spam filtering company Cleanmail.

Alinto is an email software provider and mail server editor that manages over 15,000 domains and 3 million users throughout Europe per day.

"The high level of expertise of Cleanmail’s teams will help us meet the needs and challenges of our market, notably with respect to security, by reinforcing our international efforts," the company said in a press release.

Alinto was founded in 2000 by Phillippe Gilbert and has had a steady 10% annual growth rate since then, the company said. The company currently generates annual revenue of about €3 million, and it aims to reach €5 million by 2020.
