Hostmaker, an Airbnb management service, has raised a $6.5 million Series A round led by Ventech with participation from DN Capital.
The hospitality startup provides management services for short term rentals for homeowners, such as listings and housekeeping. It’s currently available in London, Paris, Rome, and Barcelona and, according to the company, has “pipeline interest” from 25 more cities.
It initially raised $1.1 million last September. These new funds will be used to improve Hostmaker’s pricing algorithms and the customer experience, including a homeowner’s dashboard for monitoring earnings, maintenance, and guest reviews. The company added that it is considering acquisitions of smaller rivals.
The service will enable Airbnb rentals to scale and become more profitable, said Ventech’s Alain Caffi.
“We are the only ones in our segment at the moment that is rapidly scaling internationally and capitalising on this opportunity for the homeowners by offering proprietary pricing technology, in-house interior design and a five-star hotel trained operations team, all under one roof,” commented Hostmaker CEO Nakul Sharma.
