Poland-born software startup Spacelift has raised $1.6 million in pre-seed funding from Hoxton Ventures and Inovo Venture Partners. Co-founded by Marcin Wyszynski (previously Google, Facebook, Deliveroo) and Pawel Hytry (previously Foodpanda, McKinsey, Fitpass), the company has also managed to attract some big-name angel investors, including Ilkka Paananen (Supercell), Vijay Pandurangan (Mitro) and Michael Stoppelman (Yelp). Polish ecommerce platform Allegro has filed for an IPO, with plans to raise 1 billion zlotys (€225 million) and debut on the Warsaw Stock Exchange.
